PROCEEDINGS:

In the Board's Proceedings 2nd cited, orders were Issued enhancing the monthly subscription of the Pensioners towards Health Fund Scheme from Rs. 10/- per annum of Rs. 5/- per month and enhancing the financial assistance from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 50.000/-. Subsequently in the B.P. 3rd cited, the Board issued orders enhancing the subscription towards this scheme from Rs. 5/- per month to Rs. 10/- per month. .>

' 2. As large number of applications are being received from the pensioners of the Board for grant of financial assistance, the total sum of subscription received from the Pensioners and Board's contribution is found to be not sufficient to meet the requirement. Hence, it was suggested to enhance the rate of subscription from the pensioners from Rs. 10/- per month to Rs. 20/- per month. Accordingly, the views of the Unions/Associations were obtained for the enhancement of subscription. While agreeing to the suggestion, most of the unions have insisted on matching increase in the Board's contribution. The subject has been placed before the Board for taking decision

3. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, after careful consideration, has approved the proposal of enhancement in the rate of subscription by the pensioners and enhancement in the Board's contribution to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioners Health Fund Scheme and directs as follows:-

i) The recovery of annual subscription from the pensioners towards Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioners Health Fund Scheme shall be enhanced from Rs. 10/- per month Rs. 20/- per month with effect from 1.10.2007.

ii) The Board's contribution shall also be enhanced from Rs. 2,00,000/- to Rs, 2,50,000/- per annum from the financial year 2007-2008.

4. The revised amount of subscription at the rare of Rs. 20/- per month shall be recovered from the pensioners for the month of October 2007 payable in November 2007.

5. Receipt of the Board's Proceeding shall be acknowledged.
